Thank you all again for your continued support of Tim. I hope you'll all consider signing this petition as well: https://www.change.org/p/president-obama-share-your-vision-for-drug-policy-with-the-world In April, there will be a United Nations General Assembly Special Session on drugs and drug policy. At this meeting, leaders of countries around the world will discuss and debate drug policy. It's an amazing opportunity to talk about reforming the laws that put people like Tim behind bars. The last time this meeting was held was in 1998 and the outcome was only helped increase the war on drugs in America and around the world. This petition, started by Students for Sensible Drug Policy, is asking President Obama and his Administration to attend to the meeting and promote the fact that they have supported substantial reforms to America’s approach to drugs by offering clemency to certain non-violent drug offenders, reducing or eliminating mandatory minimums, and developing a drug control strategy and budget that slightly emphasizes treatment over incarceration. This is important for the rest of the world to know! Please sign their petition: https://www.change.org/p/president-obama-share-your-vision-for-drug-policy-with-the-world Thank you, Carrie
