Over the past few months, President Obama granted two rounds of commutations. Unfortunately Tim was not on these lists. But we have hope that he could be next, as the White House says they're committed to processing as many clemency applications as possible: "No more eating, sleeping or drinking until we get all these commutations done," White House Counsel Neil Eggleston said.
One of the people President Obama granted clemency to in December is Sharanda Jones. She is now free after serving 17 years of a life sentence for a first time offense. Sharanda also had a Change.org petition so her story gives us hope.
