People in Tinian and Rota are struggling because their tourism economy is nearly non-existent due to the high costs of flights. Additionally, residents face high costs for goods, partly because of these expensive flights. The CNMI government and Mariana’s Visitor Authority should subsidize inter-island flights between Tinian, Rota, and Saipan to promote the economies of these islands.
