AFIC is halal Certifier for Baiada poultry, even tho Baiada uses Gaz stunning on the chickens before the machine slaughter happens, the process of Gaz stunning kills the chickens prior to slaughter which makes the meat not halal.

Baiada Poultry also have 2 major brands ( Steggels & Lilydale ) on the market

Baiada chicken ( Steggels & Lilydale ) is sold throughout all the major retailers woolworth / coles / Aldi and many more.

The products which produced in baiada is labelled with Baida brands and also retailer brand ( private label )

Baiada also supply major food chains ( KFC / MacDonald’s / GYG and many more

They also supply wholesalers which they on sell to restaurant / cafes / butchers etc......

Be aware while shopping / dining and ask where the chicken is from and who is their Certifier

And let’s get together and sign this petition to stop AFIC from certifying Baiada and it’s other brands until they stop using Gaz stunning and instead they should use electric stunning.
