Backdrop:

Two of Musk’s companies, SpaceX and Tesla, have been awarded over $15.4 billion in federal government contracts over the past decade (while grappling with regulatory hurdles). For instance, SpaceX in particular faced heightened scrutiny in recent months with the Federal Aviation Administration.

Trump has floated the idea of creating a new commission led by Musk, which could potentially give the SpaceX CEO a chance to roll back federal regulations on his own company or to crack down on competition.

Situation:

Musk will use unfettered power to influence incoming administration to favour his interests. 

How to mitigate this:

we need a number of highly credible influencers to reign the administration and Musk and have them abide to transparency and adhering to processess including being accountable to truth.

This petition in its present form will not be that initiator therefore it needs more legs to have any significance to have someone in the journalism world to take it forward. At 69 signatures and 3 promotions, its not going to get legs… so I ask you, those who signed, to get out and share and promote.
