Dr Chelsea Ray has been a valued physician in the small, rural community of Munising for nearly 6 years. She was abruptly terminated on the morning of April 25th after finishing a 24 hour shift.

She was in the midst of renewing her contract and had emailed her questions and concerns last on March 23rd and suggested a meeting to go over them. She never received an email back or the meeting. She had heard nothing more until her sudden termination when she was told they would not negotiate. She was offered no other contract and was told to clean out her desk and was relieved of her duties immediately. The hospital has since put out inaccurate information regarding the events. Her patients have been abandoned by the hospital and their care will suffer. 

We petition the Munising Memorial Hospital Association and Board of Trustees to reinstate Dr Ray immediately to care for the community and make appropriate personnel changes to see that this doesn’t happen again.
