The Alfombra is a pair of slippers with carpeting. It is consider to be one of the best indoor slippers because of its comfort and durability. Seemingly, the Alfombra is uniquely Filipino and only skilled shoemakers of Pateros can do it correctly. But what would happen if these makers of Alfombra who has devoted their time learning how to master making these slippers will lose their job because everyone has not interested anymore in wearing Alfombras. Also, it can be seen in the streets of Pateros that some stores selling Alfombra are slowly closing down and many people who have served us before by making these Alfombras will lose everything they have. How can we encourage the next generation to preserve these things as part of the culture of Pateros if we can't do it? By simply wearing this slippers can help preserve and make the name of it be familiar to the next generation.

So as a solution on that, we the students of Pateros Catholic School has built an organization called Alfombra Warriors to promote the Industry of Alfombra, not just to save the shoemakers of Pateros but to preserve what our ancestors has made.
