I am losing count of the endless contacts I am receiving of grandparents being robbed of their relationships with grandchildren. The comments in this petition speak out loud but the powers that be appear to be looking the other way.

I cannot comprehend why this injustice that harms children is not on the front pages of news? Debated publicly as our children are missing out on loving and supportive family members.

How is it that a grandparent can be considered to be a Kinship carer when children need placing by the Local Authority and yet they are not recognised ordinarily in the Children's Act 1989? 

How is it that grandparents are increasing at a younger age in the UK, they provide love and support in terms of care for their grandchildren etc Yet, one disagreement with a son, daughter or their partner can remove this loving relationship? 

Not one politician has got back to me to discuss this matter and I am not buying they are all busy! This week I intend to write to the Education Minister who I note stating that...

"Safeguarding children is non-negotiable"  

OK - RT Honourable Nadhim Zahawi - I will share the plight of thousands of children with you in this space this week and report back to those signing this petition, millions of grandparents sit in pain and grieving whilst their grandchildren ask 'where's grandma/pa, don't they want me anymore?'  So far from the truth....
