According to the notice issued by Government of Maharashtra to shut down colleges and schools till 29th of March amid Coronavirus outbreak, it is also important to focus on postponing college and university exams as well. As more number of students attend college exams than normal lectures the chances of contracting the virus increases. Students travel through public transport and the chances of getting infected highly increase. Not only students but also the teaching staff have the risk of contracting the virus as during exams as a lot of contacting activities such as distribution of question papers, answer sheets etc. increases the risk of spreading the virus as well. It is definitely risky to consider exams over the health and safety of students as Maharashtra also has the highest number of covid-19 positive patients (38 currently : 16th March*). It's quite difficult for students as well to study in an anxious environment amid the current situation in the state as well as in the whole country.

I hope you'll take in regard of this petition and instruct the respective authorities for postponing exams.
