In Thakur Village, near Dominos, there is a faulty road junction.  The junction is not designed properly, which provoke people to take short cuts by driving on the wrong side and risking not only their own life by others life too.

Vehicles coming from Raheja circle are usually in high speed and immediately after blind turn, unable to spot the speed breaker in time.

On the other hand, the vehicles coming out from the lane between Dominos Pizza and Nirvana Hotel should take only the LEFT TRUN but most of the people do not want to take a long way to get a u-turn to get on the other side of the road and therefore they take the right turn.

In past, the local residents had raised their voice against these issues and had done a massive street campaign in 2018 for more than six months, standing at roadside and regulating the traffic by requesting people not to take the wrong right turn.

In the last 15 days, there were multiple serious mishaps that happened in the same junction.

A nine-year-old girl was killed in a road accident after a scooterist rammed into the vehicle she was riding pillion on in Kandivali (E) on Monday (February 1, 2021).

15 days back a student on a bicycle was hit by an auto-driving in the wrong direction.

In last two years there were many accidents where people got hurt and almost daily we see near misses.

Thakur Village is densely populated with residential segment, so it becomes more important for the public and road safely.

We want authorities to review the junction and fix the issue for the safety of all.
