Prolonging appeal

Really frustrating, my brothers appeals attorney requested an extension on the appeal date which was initially due in December and now hes been notified that hes been given a new appeals attorney. Wtf are they doing? Its as if they are all working together with the intention of prolonging justice for my brother. I just recently read his trial transcript and I am completely dumbfound, his attorney asked for a mistrial on 6 or more occasions, objected more times then I can count. My brother had no chance whats so ever in getting a fair trial. If I didn't know it, I wouldn't believe it.
