The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Nigeria is a state run brute squad that murders, rapes, kidnaps and tortures the people they are supposed to protect.
Amnesty International documented at least 82 cases of torture, abuse, and unlawful execution carried out by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Nigeria between Jan 2017 and May 2020.
The cases included hangings, torture chambers, hostages, and extortion.
