MTV has already ruined great shows, such as 'Skins' and 'The Inbetweeners' by creating remakes suitable for American audiences. We need to stop MTV from creating a remake of 'My Mad Fat Diary.' As seeing the previously mentioned shows, MTV has produce drama and comedy that can not even match its original parent shows (View the 'The Inbetweeners' US trailer and try to laugh) E4 has created some of the best television shows to date, and MMFD is definitely up there with being original and unique (it was even a BAFTA-nominated show). With relatable moments, well-developed characters, and a killer soundtrack, it would be a sin if MTV tried to do a remake of this great show that has a tremendous amount of popularity, and has even changed the lives of many of its viewers. Yes, I know Tom Bidwell will have a role in the production of the US show, but Damon Beesley and Iain Morris also served as producers of 'The Inbetweeners,'(US) and we all know how that went. MTV has already cancelled the aforementioned shows after one season. 'My Mad Fat Diary' is not one of those shows that can be remade. It would be like remaking The Godfather. No one can remake that memorable scene between Rae and Finn outside the fish'n'chips shop and 'Champagne Supernova' playing in the background. Not only can scenes like this not be remade, but they can't even come close to try to doing like a spin-off of the scene or something of the kind. Let's not see such a horrid action be made to the My Mad Fat Diary series.
