Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous was an original comedy series created by comedian Bo Burnham, Dan Lagana and Luke Liacos that debuted May 2, 2013, on MTV,starring Burnham as Zach Stone, a fresh-out-of-high school teenager who opts to pursue a life of fame and stardom instead of attending college.The show was funny,original,and the characters were likeable.MTV claims the show was cancelled due to low ratings (300,000) the problem with relying solely on ratings is decent high quality shows like Zach Stone is gonna be famous and The Hard Times of RJ Berger get canned and shows like Jersey Shore are renewed like crazy.It's also a bit disappointing that MTV chooses to promote shows like Jersey Shore which in a nutshell portrayed negative stereotypes of Italian-Americans and the cast generally making fools of themselves on national tv,instead of shows that are witty,relateable,and in addition to being humourous taught good life lessons.It makes me question whether MTV knows or even cares about what their viewers actually want or if they care about the quality of their shows.If enough people sign this petition,it's my hope that not only will this show get renewed but also for MTV to change it's views about ratings over quality I hope with this petition shows like RJ Berger,Zach Stone,Awkward,Catfish and more come AND stay in the future.On receiving enough signatures i will send this petition to MTV in addition to contacting MTV in every way shape and form to ensure our voice is heard =)
