Let’s get to 500 before the vote tomorrow!

City Council will vote tomorrow on amending the mobile vending permit. This amendment will broaden the scope to include MORE than just your traditional food trucks. All “mobile vendors” will be required to purchase the annual $250 permit, along with background checks for all workers. The definition within the ordinance is so broadly written that the below groups will now be included.

New people affected by this include: Church Fish Fries, Pizza Delivery, farmers market food, city festival vendors, and could even go as far as Girl Scout cookie stands.

Traditionally, the above vendors were protected by an exemption clause in the ordinance. The vote Monday is to remove that clause.
