At Michigan State University, a vast majority of students utilize a dining plan.  Included in that dining plan are Combo-X-Changes, where students are able to visit a Sparty's convenience store and choose a beverage, entree, and side every day for free.  While 2% and chocolate milk are included in the current beverage options, soymilk is not eligible to be an option.  There is a large community of students at MSU that are either vegan or lactose intolerant who have expressed interest in this initiative and dissatisfaction with Michigan State for not including soymilk in the Combo-X-Change program.  This petition will draw more attention and publicity to this issue, and pressure the appropriate staff to reconsider adding soy options to their dining programs.  The addition of soymilk as a Combo-X-Change item will align with Michigan State's sustainability efforts and "Go Green" image, as the production of soymilk is more environmentally friendly than dairy milk.
