Victim Support Scotland’s manifesto has been shaped by the lived experience of people affected by crime and their families.

We are using our knowledge from the last 35 years of supporting people affected by crime, and their families, as well as the experiences and voices of victims and witnesses themselves, to set out a range of measures that could transform our justice system.  

We are calling on MSPs in the next Scottish Parliament to deliver the following asks to create a justice system that better serves victims and witnesses: 

1.      Put victims’ voices at the front and centre of Scotland’s justice system. 

2.      A transformative ‘fit for purpose’ justice system that meets the needs a post-pandemic Scotland. 

3.      Stable funding for victims and support organisations. 

We urge all candidates for the Scottish Parliament elections in 2021 to back our asks so the justice system is getting it right for victims of crime.
