Hurlstone Agricultural High School has gone through a number of changes in these past few months, new blocks, new teachers and now there is a new timetable. Among the students there is major discomfort with the attributes of this new timetable, namely longer periods and longer time spent at school overall. The biggest problem, without a doubt, is travel. The majority of students at Hurlstone, commute to and from school. This extension of the school day will force a large portion of the school to delay their commute home and can make as much as an HOUR of a difference in their day. A large factor of the student uproar is due to this. I propose we start and finish school 10 minutes earlier so as to maintain the current after school routine students follow. Getting to school 10 minutes earlier fill not make as much of a difference as being dismissed 10 minutes later. Sign this petition if you agree, if we get enough signs we could possibly bring about this change.
