Separate French III and French IV

The Issue

To whom it may concern,

The Pre-AP French III class and the AP French IV classes are currently combined and are being taught by Madame Faz, during seventh period. However, as shown in the labeling of the classes, these two classes have distinct levels of French being taught. By combining Pre-AP French III with AP French IV, both groups are affected in a detrimental way since each group is slowed by the other.  Not mentioning that it puts a strain on Madame Faz, trying to teach two levels in the same period, to which you may add also that both groups comprise of a large number of students. By way of this petition, We are requesting the two classes to be separated into their own distinct period.

This situation is unfair to both Madame Faz and the students. With AP French IV, students are expected to take the AP test and, historically speaking, when the classes are kept separate, scores are much higher on the test (4,5) versus 3 when combined.

For the reasons listed above, We would like to ask prompt separation of French III  from French IV.
