Our Italian teacher is getting replaced. She is getting replaced by a teacher, that  worked at Salk before but then to a high school to teach Spanish. The teacher moved to the high school because the Spanish teacher that was teaching that class went on maternity leave. Apparently, that Spanish teacher that was out is coming back and the teacher that was subbing is now coming to Salk to teach Italian . Everyone loves Mrs.Nilsen. She is my favorite teacher and a lot of others people's too. When she told us this we had like a huge talk. Everyone was like Noooooo we can't loose her. That is why I made this petition. I wanted to share the students point of view. Even though the students and don't really have a say in this. But it may effect our learning. I know it is about adult stuff but have you ever thought about the kids. I mean it is the middle of the second quarter and this disrupts our learning in a already difficult environment. We are not even half way done with the school year and she is already leaving us. Can't she just please finish the school year with us? Oh and did I mention she is going from Italian teacher to a sub. Nothing against the other teacher but my classmates and I are struggling with this new schooling and to make changes at this time is upsetting.
