Dover High School doesn’t allow the use of durags during school hours however, their counter argument states that durags classify as a hood or hat; and it’s not allowed to cover your face. But durags are much different it allows a person to be different without violating any of the guidelines about the use of hats or hoods, a durag does in fact not cover your face and it helps a student express themselves with the different customizations it comes with such as the different designs available on durags. It brings no harm to anyone as it’s just another form clothing and it’s only a negative thing when teachers and staff make a big deal about it. In the end it is an unfair made up rule about durags and we hope to make a change for us, the students. LET US GET OUR WAVES UP YA HURD❗️
