Mr. Rethabile Lelisa
The Issue
Appeal for
Legislation and supports to monetise social media content in Lesotho, as an easy way of dealing with the high unemployment rates in Lesotho currently. This is so so so bad, especially when it comes to a backlog of unemployed graduates that complete their tertiary academic training only to roast in indefinite unemployment.
This petition holds that the unemployed graduates backlog might discourage students in high school to want to go to college/university as they see no difference between those with education and those who do not; both are unemployed and then. What’s the point of going to college/university?
so your signature might go a long way in us submitting to Parliament and respectfully as them to prioritise this facilitation we seek for the monetisation of Social Media in Lesotho.
Thos will not only improve the quality of life of those media influencers but even ordinary members of the community who use social media privately but have a huge following as well as those who might be motivated as a result of same.
This will give Lesotho government a chance to show their political will and go above the declaration of Youth Unemployment as a State on National Disaster, but providing an immediate avenue to self-employment in Social Media, through this monetisation .
Please help us get create numbers to respectfully ask for employment that requires no government budget or financing, and you can do this by kindly signing with your email to this petition which we will submit to this 11th Lesotho Parliament for consideration!
