The little fauna park in Jerusalem, Kadina has been cared for by the same family for 85 years. It is managed by a dedicated Member of our community who does so for the enjoyment of others. The land has a 10 inch water pipe running through it and at less than an acre in size the land is of very little dollar value but extremely valued to the community. 

The DCCC have decided to charge a lease fee after discovering the person running the park did not own the land. We congratulate Councillor Bev Schultz for saying there should be no charge and ask that the council reconsider and support the decision to allow this land to continue as a fauna park with no lease amount payable! We ask council to consider returning the land use to the person running it with no expense to that person. 

This fauna park is an asset to our community, many families frequent the park to feed the animals. It also gives overseas tourists the opportunity to be up close and personal with the animals.  The council should support the person managing this park at their own cost with no financial assistance from any other parties!!

We ask the council to reconsider their ruling in the best interest of the community!
