Chandigarh Traffic Police is unaware of Animal Protection Laws that suggest not to overload or over-drag an animal that is being used to tranport goods and people. Traffic Police officials when asked about why they do not regulate or issue challans to their owners when they see such cruelty, said "We do not know if any such laws exist, we were never told".
