Stop closing down our windows

We, the sexworkers from the Red Light District in Amsterdam support the demonstration against the closure of prostitution windows in Amsterdam. 

We are tired of all those peope who claim that they know that we are ‘forced’ and that they need to ‘rescue’ us. We are tired of people who always speak about us but never with us. We are tired of politicians, police and media approaching us with distrust, suspicion and repression.

Sex work is work. We need safe workplaces. We request support from the government and local authorities. We want to be taken seriously and want to be involved in your plans. 

Please stop the closing of our windows. We just ask for the same rights as anybody else. We therefore support this protest and the list of demands of PROUD to stop closing down more windows.
