Hi everyone, as you may be aware, recently there has been a sad decision by our school to stop Jinx the wonderful therapy dog coming to school. Many parents share with me the view that Jinx brings numerous benefits to the children. Therapy dogs have been proven to improve learning outcomes, anxiety and behaviour, furthermore the kids all enjoy his company and companionship. Aside from all the positives to well-being a lot of work was invested in Jinx to prepare him for this service. As a working dog, Jinx will need to work or those skills will be lost.
