I don't know how much effect we had on the outcome, but it certainly couldn't have hurt. The ex-politicians today were denied their request for increased payment and unlimited free business class flights. (Their pension is already more than twice the wage of the average Australian worker, and they already get 10 free business class flights a year -- that's nearly one a month! But it's not enough for these greedy sods.) Let us put politicians on notice that we don't like the exorbitant wages and ridiculously lavish perks they give themselves.
