FAA: No more flight paths over our communities AND reduce the number of planes sent over us NOW
The Issue
Dear Mr. Goldsher:
We strongly oppose the implementation of two additional concentrated flight paths over Milton, Hyde Park, South Boston, and Mattapan: Runway 4L Visual and 4L GPS RNAVs.
There is substantial cost to those of us on the ground for any concentrated flight path. We pay with our health, our sleep, our productivity, our quality of life, and our property values. We would like to know if the FAA considers this cost-shifting ethical?
Along with the requirement about Air Quality to which the FAA must adhere, does the FAA also have a moral obligation to study the health effects of its decisions to concentrate low-flying aircraft over the same residential areas?
Will the FAA guarantee to achieve the goals for arrivals that representatives from communities surrounding Logan previously deemed as fair? (21.1% of equivalent operation arrivals to Runways 4R and 4L).
We request a public meeting with the FAA where residents can communicate our stories to those in the FAA who make decisions that cause such negative effects on our quality of life and the peaceful enjoyment of our homes. Please let us know some days and times that will work for FAA decision-makers.
Thank you.
