WE NEED BILLING ISSUES AND REFUND EMAILS TO MPSC NOW! TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

What we need to do today! Please email now! 1. UPPCO IRP UPPCO needs to lift the cap on how many people they will buy electricity from and finance a customer’s investment in solar, wind and energy efficient appliances. Capping at 1% negates customer cost benefits. 2. Where’s our refund? In 2012 Enbridge filed a case at the MICH Public Service Commission claiming a surcharge that UPPCO charged was unlawful. The case went all the way to the Mich Supreme Court and Enbridge won. The case is now pending at the MPSC. If Enbridge is entitled to a refund, so should everybody else, including residential ratepayers. (See CARE Comments in U-17077 for more details.) People should email the MPSC at mpscedockets@michigan.gov demanding their refunds. Make sure to put “post in Case #U-17077” in the subject line of the email. 3. UPPCO Billing errors Anyone who has experienced billing issues with UPPCO should write or email the MPSC and describe in detail those problems. The MPSC is currently investigating UPPCO’S billing procedures and it’s important the investigators know how widespread the problems are.
