On Friday May 29th, George Floyd's MURDERER, Derek Chauvin, was charged with third degree murder as well as manslaughter. It is also unclear whether or not the three other officers present during the murder are facing criminal charges as well. These three remaining officers must face charges as well, as they were accomplices in George Floyd's murder. Derek Chauvin should be charged with murder in the first or second degree for the heinous acts he's committed, not only against George Floyd but many other POCs who's innocent lives he's taken. Derek Chauvin being charged with third degree murder means he will ONLY face up to 25 years in prison even though he knew what he was doing. THIS WAS NO ACCIDENT. George Floyd was begging for his life and Chauvin continued to use lethal force in order to kill him. This was no third degree murder. There was an intent to kill and this was NOT his first victim.
