I went to see "Life of Pi" and had to leave due to disturbing scenes of animal cruelty. Many people (adults and children) are sensitive to depictions of animal suffering, and would like to be aware if a movie contains such scenes. A ratings guide would allow animal-loving moviegoers to make informed decisions about seeing the movie.
