Just days from now, on October 13, Taylor Swift’s film “The Eras Tour” film opens in theaters. Swifties (fans of Taylor Swift) will have the option of seeing open caption (OC) screenings if their theater is offering them. Given that over half of Americans (53%) are fans of Taylor Swift, and of those, 16% are avid fans, that’s a lot of potential open caption attendees!
Many people with hearing loss do enjoy music. If you have hearing loss and have not enjoyed music, this is your opportunity to go and discover why Taylor Swift is so popular!
And if you do not have hearing loss, seeing the words on the screen will ensure that you do not miss a single word sung by Taylor Swift. Non-OC screenings are selling out, and some open caption screenings are already almost full.
How can you find an open caption screening of Taylor Swift’s film? One way is to use the BigScreen Guide page for Taylor Swift open caption screenings: https://www.bigscreen.com/advsearch/advsearch.php?id=oc&movie=339791 This Guide is not perfect, but is a useful tool for finding open caption screenings.
If your theater does not have an open caption screening of Taylor Swift's film, and you want to see Taylor Swift with open captions, tell your theater to obtain the open caption version of Taylor Swift's film.
