For years, I've been fortunate to experience the joy and excitement of the Collinsville Halloween Parade. It's an event that brings our community together, full of fantastical costumes and an unmistakable sense of camaraderie that defines this wonderful tradition.

However, this year, I'm calling on our community to make a small change with potentially big benefits: moving the parade date from October 31st to October 24th. This adjustment would allow us to nimbly navigate the typically heavier traffic associated with the Halloween night, ensuring a safer environment for our children as they enthusiastically take to the streets for trick-or-treating.

Beyond safety concerns, shifting the parade to the weekend of October 24th offers our community the unique opportunity to extend our celebration over two weekends instead of just one.

Let's make this an unforgettable Halloween by bringing forth the best of our community spirit, safety, and tradition. Join me in signing this petition to request rescheduling the parade to October 24th. Together, we can continue our beloved tradition while enhancing the safety and enjoyment of everyone who holds Halloween close to their hearts. Your support by signing this petition will be instrumental in making these changes a reality.
