As my senior year comes to a close, one of the most memorable events - the senior prom - is something I've been eagerly anticipating. Unfortunately, the current scheduled date, the weekend of April 25th, conflicts with numerous other commitments for many of us. From graduation parties to other social gatherings, this period has become overwhelmingly busy. Prom should be a time to celebrate and enjoy, not worry about competing events.

Furthermore, there’s an issue with availability. Many cabins and venues that classmates have looked to book for after-prom gatherings are already reserved for that weekend, making it nearly impossible for everyone to secure spaces. The excitement of prom is often coupled with these festivities, and missing out due to scheduling conflicts can dampen the spirit of what should be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The practical solution to this problem would be to reschedule prom to March 21st. This earlier date not only alleviates pressure from overlapping events but also ensures that everyone has a fair opportunity to enjoy all aspects of the prom night to the fullest. Scheduling prom in March would also allow students from Roswell, GA, to balance their social commitments and truly savor their senior year.

I urge the school administration to consider this change for the benefit of the entire senior class. It's a simple shift that can have a significant positive impact, ensuring that prom is a magical, stress-free night for all of us.
