The Mountain West Women's Soccer Conference contains teams from 7 different states: California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

The Mountain West Women's Soccer Conference contains 12 schools: San Jose State, New Mexico, San Diego State, University of Las Vegas, University of Nevada Reno, Utah State, Wyoming State, Colorado State, Colorado College, Air Force, Boise State, and Fresno State.

As of August 5th, 2020:

California has had: 538,000 confirmed and 9,967 deaths

Colorado has had: 49,633 confirmed and 1,857 deaths

Idaho has had: 23,428 confirmed and 227 deaths

Nevada has had: 53,705 confirmed and 901 deaths

New Mexico has had: 21,773 confirmed and 669 deaths

Utah has had: 42,986 confirmed, 332 deaths

Wyoming has had: 2,958 confirmed, 27 deaths

Mountain West released a statement that conference games return September 26th, but some counties still aren’t allowing return to play. The Mountain West Conference along with NCAA have yet to make a definite decision regarding our return to play. Although each state and county are in different phases of this pandemic it inevitably affects everyone’s upcoming season. 

We, the women of the Mountain West Conference, are not asking for a cancelled season. We are asking for a Spring 2021 season. This depends not only on the unity between the conference’s student athletes and coaches, but also anyone else who feels uncomfortable sending athletes back to play with so many unknowns.
