I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing on behalf of the residents and families in our community regarding the “Little Playground” on Mount Washington. Over the years, this playground has been a cherished space for children and families in Beaver Falls, providing a place for play, social interaction, and community bonding. However, it has become increasingly evident that the playground requires upgrades and maintenance to ensure it remains a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

 

We kindly petition for the following improvements to the Little Playground:

 

1. **Installation of a Porta Potty**: The absence of restroom facilities has been a significant concern for families visiting the playground. Adding a porta potty would greatly enhance the convenience and comfort for parents and caregivers.

 

2. **Upgrade of Playground Equipment**: Many of the existing structures are outdated and may not meet current safety standards. We propose reviewing and upgrading the playground equipment to provide a more engaging and secure environment for our children.

 

3. **Renewal or Restoration of the Fence**: The current fencing is in disrepair, which poses safety risks. Restoring or replacing it would help ensure the safety of children while they play.

 

4. **Consistent Maintenance and Trash Pickup**: Regular maintenance and trash collection are vital for keeping the playground clean and inviting. A reliable schedule would encourage more families to utilize the space.

 

5. **Community Involvement**: We believe that involving the community in the park's upkeep and activities could foster a greater sense of ownership and pride. This could include volunteer days for maintenance or events that bring neighbors together, making the playground a staple of our community once again.

 

By implementing these upgrades, we can revitalize the Little Playground and restore it as a central hub for residents and visitors alike. We believe that with your support, we can make these much-needed improvements and ensure that the playground serves its purpose for many years to come.
