The origins of the term Chinese Auction are extremely vague, but can imply racist attitudes towards Chinese people. My daughter is a Chinese Born American and I would like her to be able to go to school, that prides itself on it's anti-bullying policies, and not have to pick up fundraising flyers that contain this offensive term.
