I am trying to legalize lane splitting in Washington state, specifically Spokane Washington. With how busy the bigger cities have gotten it is a danger to all of us motorcyclists to have to sit in congested traffic where we are severely unprotected. The past year there were too many motorcyclists that went down because of poor drivers. Being rear ended while in traffic is one of the highest fatality rates for a motorcyclist and to avoid that it is a safer option to avoid the traffic and lane split.
