A sad occurrence in Marrakech is the use of monkeys and snakes for tourism. Tourists pay to watch entertainment and to take photos with them, not knowing that these animals are cruelly chained up and abused, such as being hit, kicked and dragged along by their backs by their handlers, crying out in pain. They are also often left without water. 

Marrakech is a beautiful and vibrant city with so much character and it could be an even nicer place to visit without the cruel abuse of animals.
