We work hard, we provide amazing customer service, we have regular customers which we love to have a chat to, but...

It is not unknown to Morrison's workers that working long days can be difficult and strenuous. If we work between 4 and 7.5 hours, we only receive a 15 minute paid break! how are we meant to survive a 7.5 hour shift on 15 minutes! we can opt in for an extra 15 unpaid, but why should we lose out? 

Current Policy is - every 4 hours, you get 15 minutes. 8 hours and above you get 1hr and 30 minutes. 

We work hard day in day out, and many of us are scheduled in for those 7 hour shifts in the middle of the day in the middle of summer. We work and get tired! we need more than 15 minutes to have a drink, sit down, have a smoke (for some of us), just relax and cool down!

Therefore, This petition is for those who work 6.5 hours-7.5 hours and let them have a 30 minute break! and those who have opted in for the extra 15 minute unpaid - 45 minutes (if they want to).

We know what days are like, we know the best times to take our breaks! We are the workers, we know the company better than some. Many of us are so under staffed that it is not unknown to take quick 5 minute fag breaks, instead of a whole 15 minutes! because they need a quick step away from their job, they need longer. We need longer.

This will increase moral - we will be happier.

We will offer better customer service - we will be happier.

We will be more enticed to work the longer shifts - we will be happier.

Happy Workers = Happy Customers = Increased Profits.
