LDS leaders are in a position to protect children from Bullying and thus a possible suicide far beyond the walls of their church buildings, a fact they are well aware of. LDS Leaders have a heavy influence within the Boy Scouts of America in regards to their policy. They also have a controlling influence over the laws passed by the State of Utah, and have measured influence among law makers in the States of Idaho, Arizona, and Nevada. LDS leaders have the influence to be an example and thus light the way to a cultural change on how the abuse of millions of children is addressed. With status and title comes a moral responsibility, which often clashes with 'Good Legal Advice'. "Are you honest in your dealings with your fellowmen?" does not contain an asterisk next to it mentioning it being approved by an attorney first, and is a serious and appropriate question to ask those seeking salvation. Choosing to cover up the abuse of children, even avoiding protections is not dealing honestly, even if it saves the LDS Church a few dollars. The victims of such actions/inactions will be there to testify of the damaged caused by such on judgement day. Never the less The Stop It Foundation will continue to bring a "Bullying Awareness" directly to the people, the message is reaching thousands.
