Flagship development, behind fire station. County mtg Tues.

Sorry, another important update. The agenda is out for this Tuesday August 4th at 5 pm county council meeting. There will be a work sessions at 4pm. Pay attention to the Flagship development (Mountain Green Town Center)!! This is the land  behind the fire station. The  information I’ve heard- 267 units, 131 town homes. The rest is single dwelling homes at 8-10,000 square feet lots. They will put in pickleball courts and an 800 square foot clubhouse, not sure if that will be private or public? They are putting in a bike trail with benches. They are wanting to amend the zoning from 35 percent commercial to 0 percent. The first phase will consist of 0 amenities. You can email or call your county council members and/or show up at the meeting to have your voice heard.

My concern is more multifamily and high density housing. We need some real recreational amenities and a well planned town center with some quaint restaurants and businesses. Other mountain towns have turned their neighborhoods into amazing places to live, as Mtn Green is progressing, I don’t know if we’re succeeding in keeping it special.
