Vegetarian and vegan meals are a very efficient way to reduce our negative impacts on climate change. Being a vegetarian/vegan is not easy here because often, there are hardly any healthy and affordable choices available. In order to promote a plant-based diet, my recommendation is that there should be a broader variety of healthy vegetarian and vegan meal options available in all restaurants, cafeterias, canteens and food vending machines (with the possibility of getting exact information about the ingredients before purchasing the food) on the university campus. Additionally, I would suggest that all salads at the salad bar should be at least vegetarian (so without chicken and fish like tuna). This is why I would ask you to contact the responsible managers so that they change their menu in a more sustainable way. Thank you very much.
