More Snow Days in District 11

The Issue

Right now, the rules in district 11 say there is a limit on how many snow days we can have in a school year. However, these rules do not take into account the unexpected weather that happens more often because of climate change. There is a lot of proof that shows schools are closing more often because of bad weather. If we stick to strict limits on snow days, it could put our students and staff at risk. By removing these limits, we allow everyone in district 11 to make safer choices about snow days without worrying about going over a set number. Therefore, we ask education leaders to remove this limit so we can focus on safety and be flexible with weather changes. Please sign this petition to show your support for this change.
