In the past couple of years the urban eco zones have been starting to decrease and we need to stop cutting down the zones for houses before its too late. According to Ottawa urban management plan 

1.Urban eco zones can improve mental health

2.It promotes healthy living and more physical activities

3. A single tree can let off as much evaporation (cooling event) as 10 air conditioner

4.It also can remove Pollution in the air such as CO2 and methane just a 10kmx10km with 25 % tree coverage can remove up to 90 tonnes of pollution a year

4. The trees can also provide a great place to get away from harmful UV rays 

5. It provides a ecosystem for multiple creatures and creates a more healthy enviroment.

For all these reasons I believe we should create and protect more eco zones around the Ottawa area.
