This is not necessarily anything major to my petition, but rather an update explaining something regarding BOTH Mario Kart Tour AND Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
You see, aside from hoping for the Rio de Janeiro City Track comings both aforementioned games; as well as what specific characters (Top = Pauline), Vehicles (Top = Wild Wing), Wheels, Gliders, Power Ups, and other content I really want to see coming into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe...
There have been a few Retro Tracks that I hope will come into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as well via the Booster Course Pass.
One noteworthy mention / hope includes GCN Daisy Cruiser, a track which its uniqueness of taking place aboard a cruise ship / cruise-liner / ocean-liner gives me high hopes it makes it into the BCP (likely via Wave 5 to celebrate the season of Summer).
Others I've pondered upon that people may disagree with me on include GCN Dino Dino Jungle and one of the SNES Vanilla Lake tracks, due to the cameos via ADs in Wii Coconut Mall.
It certainly has become a huge debate among Mario Karters on which Retro Tracks will make it into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via the Booster Course Pass.
But besides GCN Daisy Cruiser, there is one track that I really love to see return into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. And that track is...
GCN Mushroom City
Having only one appearance in the Mario Kaet series so far, that being its home game - Mario Kart: Double Dash as the 2nd race of the game's Star Cup, Mushroom City has yet to have a remake in any Mario Kart game.
But I hope Mario Kart 8 Deluxe AND Mario Kart Tour give GCN Mushroom City a home for a large variety of reasons.
1.) While some hope for Mushroom Bridge, I lean toward Mushroom City for its more complex track design, which helps it fit with the remaining Waves for the Booster Course Pass (5 and 6) in terms of the trend of difficulty.
Mushroom Bridge, on the other hand, has a far more simpler design which, despite traffic obstacles, does not make it fit with such a trend.
2. and 3.) The traffic obstacles' patterns & special vehicles are reasons 2 & 3 respectively.
The traffic obstacles in Mushroom City function VASTLY diffetently than in most Mario Kart tracks like N64 Toad's Turnpike, DS Shroom Ridge, Wii Moonview Highway 3DS Wuhu Loop & Maka Wuhu, & even GCN Mushroom Bridge.
This is because whereas all the aforementioned tracks have traffic traveling the same direction or opposite directions...
Mushroom City's traffic obstacles travel in a more hectic & alightly unpredictable manner, traveling in all directions. This is thanks to the track featuring intersections, where the traffic turns left, right, or head straight.
But the most troublesome traffic obstacles that would make passing the intersections tricky are the track's special vehicles: Wiggler Buses / Land-Trains and Bob-Omb Cars.
The Wiggler Vehicles' long length can mean trouble for racers, especially at intersections; while Bob-Omb cars explode upon impact, causing immense hinderance to any racer caught in the Bob-Omb's explosions.
Because of this, Mushroom City is the ONLY track to feature unique traffic patterns because of it's complex design; and one of 3 tracks to feature either or both the 2 special vehicles, the other being Mushroom Bridge (except for the DS remake) and Moonview Highway (Bob-Omb Cars only).
4.) As mentioned earlier, Mushroom City has yet to be remade, and I hope it does with Mario Kart Tour AND especially Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via the Booster Course Pass
And 5.) Although not an essential reason, I love race tracks taking place within metropolises at nighttime, and Mushroom City happens to be one of them.
In regards of how GCN Mushroom City could be implemented in Mario Kart Tour AND Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
In the case with Mario Kart Tour, Mushroom City would perfecrly fit what I call a "Metropolis Tour" - a tour focusing on tracks taking place in Metropolis.
In addition to GCN Mushroom City, which would be the debutting track for the "Metropolis Tour", other tracks include all variants of New York Minute, Los Angeles Laps, Vancouver Velocity, Tokyo Blur, Singapore Speedway, Bangkok Rush, and possibly the Rio de Janeiro track (if implemented before the Metropolis Tour), as they're all tracks taking place in metropolises: big cities featuring tall skyscrapers, vast landmasses, and many twists and turns.
In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I believe GCN Mushroom City could be implemented in any way, but there's one way that I think how GCN Mushroom City would fit perfectly in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - the 2nd or 3rd track of the Spiny Cup in Wave 6.
Why the 2nd or 3rd track of the Spiny Cup? Well, we have Athens Dash to possibly thank for that.
While Athens Dash IS a City Track, the course more takes place mostly in Athens, Greece's famous ancient ruins like the Acropolis and Ampitheater, rather than the city itself.
If Athens Dash is added into the Spiny Cup as the 1st track of the cup...
...that will give GCN Mushroom City all the more reason to be placed after Athens Dash as the 2nd or 3rd track of the Spiny Cup, making GCN Mushroom City the "City Track to end all City Tracks".
That pretty much concludes what I hope would come to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in terms of Retro Tracks. While there are tracks open to debate, I really hope GCN Daisy Cruiser & GCN Mushroom City make it into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
What Retro Tracks would you love to see into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via the Booster Course Pass' remaining Waves 6?
Let me know in the replies below.
Until the next update, let's keep spreading the word to everyone to let Nintendo know what characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, power-ups, and other content we really hope to see added into Marik Kart 8 Deluxe.
Let's-a keep on racing! ^v^
