You've joined us at the latest update for the petitiom, where we've recently got a tease at our next track coming to Mario Kart Tour & likely the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass.
On April 13th of 2023, we've got a teaser regarding what the next Tour & real-life city Track will be.
Here is the link to it in the official Mario Kart Tour Twitter page.

Based on the images above, the next real-life city Mario Kart track will take place in Athens, Greece, featuring the famous ancient ruins like the Acropolis.
A trailer for the 2023 Spring Tour featuring the Athens track (likely the 1st variant of it only, unless Nintendo decides to release multiple routes), which will be named "Athens Dash", was released a day later on April 14th of 2023.
Athens Dash will mark the 5th Mario Kart track taking place in a real-life city in Europe, follwing Paris, London, Berlin, and Amsterdam.
While I would've preferred to have new real-life city Mario Kart tracks take place in new continents like South America (especially in the city of Rio de Janeiro) and Africa, and/or other areas like Mexico, it's nice to know that we'll be having a new Mario Kart track taking place in a real-life city track for the first time in a long while.
In fact, not counting the multiple routes (ex: Singapore Speedway 3), this will be the first time in about 10 months that we'll be having a new Mario Kart taking place in a real-life city since Bangkok Rush (specifically Bangkok Rush 1, or simply "Bangkok Rush") during the Bangkok Tour back in June of 2022.
Speaking of Bangkok Rush, I can safely confirm that the cameos of the vehicles Royale and Flame Flyer are still visible in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's version of that track.
So with the Bangkok Rush cameos of Flame Flyer & Royale retained in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I hope Nintendo considers adding additional vehicles like the Wild Wing into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, along with other additional content like additional power-ups like the Mega Mushroom and Ice Flower.
In any case, with Athens Dash confirmed to be a new Mario Kart track for Tour, it'll be likely that it will subsequently come into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via the Booster Course Pass, either in Wave 5 or Wave 6.
Still, as mentioned before, I really do hope Nintendo considers making Mario Kart tracks that take place in continents & other areas of our planet Earth that have yet to be used. Namely...
- Africa (Ex: Zimbabwe; Cairo; Etc.)
- Mexico (Ex: Cancun; Mexico City; Etc.)
And most of all...
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in South America, taking place a night during Carnaval, and featuring the city & its famous locations, landmarks, & festivities like the Carnaval / Samba parades, Corcovado, Copacabana Beach, and more.
And top to it all off, my wishes for said aforementioned tracks are part of what I really love to see Nintendo implement in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, such as more vehicles & parts (wheels & gliders), more power-ups, and most of all - fan-favorite characters like Pauline filling the 5 question marks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's upcoming characters to join Birdo & her 8 alternate colorations in the newly updated 8-by-6 roster.
So let's keep spreading the word to everyone, especially to Nintendo themselves, of what we really want to see in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe during the Booster Course Pass... and possibly beyond.
P.S. Have you watched & enjoyed The Super Mario Bros. Movie (including its Mario Kart segment), yet?
