Well, it's been a long year, but after many months since the announcement & release of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass (February & March of 2022, respectively), this petition has reached 51 signers so far at the time of this update.
While this petition still has long ways to go, I'm still very happy & very grateful that a good number of you people share the same opinions & desires that I do on what Nintendo should and/or needs to do for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe by adding more characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, items, & other content to it; and, in turn, preserve said content from Mario Kart Tour into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe should Mario Kart Tour ever discontinue sometime in the future.
We don't know for sure yet on when Mario Kart Tour will discontinue. Will it be after the Booster Course Pass ends? Will it still be playable even when the Booster Course Pass is over, but still discontinue eventually? Whatever the case, whenever Tour does discontinue, I strongly feel that Nintendo needs to preserve Mario Kart Tour's characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, items, & other content into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, so that even when Mario Kart Tour is gone, the majority (if not all) of its content can still be playable & useable in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
After all, as I've detailed multiple times, Mario Kart Tour & Mario Kart 8 Deluxe basically share the same assets like models, SFX, & voice clips for the characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, & so on. So if Mario Kart Tour can take assets from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and if Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can take tracks from Mario Kart Tour, then it should not be difficult for Nintendo to add Mario Kart Tour's characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, items, & other content (especially the former 4 forms of content) over into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
And even though the day of Mario Kart's 30th Anniversary has passed, we're still technically in the Anniversary's year, as the year of Mario Kart's 30th Anniversary technically lasts from August 27th of 2022 to the same day in 2023.
While that may not be too much of relevance and/or importance, it's still something I'd like to point out since it had occurred to me as of recent, and it could be a good reason for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to get more characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, items, & other content as the Anniversary Year (as well as the duration of the Booster Course Pass) progresses.
And regardless if it happens during the Anniversary year (August 27th of 2022 to August 27th of 2023) or not, I will still keep hoping that Nintendo will take note of our desires for them to give Mario Kart 8 Deluxe what it rightfully deserves - more characters, more vehicles, more gliders, more wheels, more items, and any additional content they can think of like character alts., a Mirrored 200cc mode, & more; and, in turn, preserve said content from Mario Kart Tour into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Until that is done, we need to keep spreading the word on said desires of ours by spreading it to everyone in any way we can, and keep sharing & signing petitions sharing our desires like these.

If anything else comes up, like when the remaining 3 waves of the Booster Course Pass being announced and/or released, I'll be sure to give you all updates & continue spreading the word on our desires.
And if you'd like to read what I think to how Nintendo can implement more characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, items, & other content into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, such as via a 2nd DLC Pass, unlockables in a "Mission Mode" and/or In-Game shop, or some other methods to implement said content into MK8DX, feel free to visit the prior update linked below.

Until then, let's keep going with letting everyone & especially Nintendo hear our desires for Nintendo to give Mario Kart 8 Deluxe more characters, more vehicles, more gliders, more wheels, more items, and any additional content they can think of like character alts., a Mirrored 200cc mode, & more; and, in turn, preserve said content from Mario Kart Tour into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Once Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gets said content, which it rightfully needs, we'll be happy to truly & officially declare that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" of the Mario Kart series.
Good luck everyone, & keep on racing!
