Keep hoods and personalised nicknames on Mordialloc Secondary College Year 12 Hoodies

The issue

We, the Year 11 students of Mordialloc Secondary College, express our strong support for the continuation of hoods on our Year 12 jumpers and the privilege to choose our own nicknames for the back. These cherished traditions are not only emblematic of our school spirit but also a source of camaraderie and pride for us.

We believe that these elements hold significant sentimental and practical value for us as we transition into our final year of secondary education. The inclusion of hoods not only offers protection from the elements but also fosters a sense of unity and camaraderie amongst the Year 12 cohort. It provides a symbol of pride and belonging, allowing us to wear our jumpers with a sense of collective identity.

Furthermore, the ability to choose our own nicknames on the back of our jumpers promotes individuality and self-expression. This personal touch allows us to assert our identities and reflect our unique personalities, strengthening the sense of ownership and pride we feel towards our final year at Mordialloc Secondary College.

We, the Year 11 students, humbly request your support and understanding in upholding this tradition, as it means a great deal to us and the generations of students to come.
