Historic South Campus is home to a large amount of Moravian College's students. An evolving world leads to an evolving campus. In return, a college must make changes to keep up with the changing world. These changes are essential when made with the students best interests in mind. However, sometimes the students are forgotten when making business decisions. John Amos Comenius once said "Let us have but one end in view, the welfare of humanity." We the students of Moravian College strongly recommend that Moravian follows one of our founder's approach and make decisions based on the welfare of their students by reproaching the decision of closing the Root Cellar and in return the hot meals provided by Sandella's Cafe. All Signees of this Petition agree that it is in our best interest to keep the area open for hot food. In case of storms it is many student's only option for food as well as offers students with complicated schedules a source of nourishment when trying to balance the schedules of school, jobs, internships, co-ops, and extra circulars that Moravian strongly recommends joining. 

In conclusion, we would like to recommend the continuation of hot foods being preparied in the already allocated space of the Root Cellar in Moravian's Historic campus in the heart of Bethlehem.
